I first tried this concept while in England in high school. Came home and improvised my own version and it was delish! Here it is...

1/2 c
tub margarine
1/2 c
crisco or vegetable shortening
1 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
3/4 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
2 1/2 c
12 oz
white chocolate chips
12 oz
dried cranberries, hydrated in 1/2 cup boiling water then drained just prior to use

How to Make White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • 2Beat the margarine and crisco til smooth and creamy. Add sugars and baking soda. Cream til well blended. Add eggs and vanilla. Slowly add flour.
  • 3Fold in chocolate chips and drained, hydrated cranberries
  • 4Using a cookie scoop or two spoons drop cookie dough in rounds about truffle-size onto cookie sheet.
  • 5Bake about 8-12 minutes each batch depending on your oven, watching to remove while barely browned to maintain chewiness!!
