whipped shortbread cookies
I finally found this old recipe again and I'm so happy. These cookies will melt in your mouth. You can leave off the cherry, substitute another fruit or even a pecan. They are also good with sprinkles.

- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup candied cherries
How To Make whipped shortbread cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 325

Step 2Beat flour, butter, and sugar together with a mixer until very fluffy, about 10 minutes.

Step 3Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Put a cherry in center of each.

Step 4Bake 15-20 minutes until lightly browned. Remove to cooling rack.
