This is my new cookie recipe I wrote for my husband. We both prefer white chocolate and a soft cookie. Everyone has really raved how good these cookies are, so if you try them I hope you enjoy them too.

This is a rich cookie that will please your sweet tooth. The addition of cream cheese gives this cookie a slightly different flavor, it's almost cheesecake flavored. Walnuts give the moist cookie a crunch and add a slight saltiness. The white chocolate chips are a great complement to the entire cookie. If you are adventurous and like to try something a little different, give this cookie a whirl. It will not disappoint! The Test Kitchen

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla or walnut flavoring
  • 2
    eggs
  • 6 oz
    vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    roasted walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour

How to Make Walnut White Chocolate Cream Cheese Cookie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl sift together 2 c flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
  2. In another bowl cream together, cream cheese, and butter.
  3. Add sugar; mix.
  4. Add eggs and flavoring; mix.
  5. Add flour mixture and beat well.
  6. In a small bowl combine nuts, white chocolate chips, and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. Stir to coat nuts and chips with flour.
  7. Stir nuts/chocolate chip mixture into dough.
  8. Drop by tablespoon onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake 8-10 minutes.
  10. Let cool.
