My cousin Gail, in Downsville, LA, gave me this recipe. Her bridge club begs for them. These delicate cookies are so delicious!

Ingredients

2 sticks parkay margarine (i use butter!)
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons distilled vinegar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make vinegar cookies

Step 1

Beat together butter and sugar. Every time the recipe says to beat, REALLY beat!

Step 2

Sift together flour, soda, and salt; and add to the butter mixture.
Step 3

Add vinegar and vanilla. Beat!
Step 4

Add chopped pecans.
Step 5

Drop by teaspoons on buttered cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
