Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
  • 3 cups oats, quick or old-fashioned, uncooked
  • 1 cup raisins

How To Make vanishing oatmeal raisin cookies

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Step 3
    Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • Step 4
    Stir in raisins and oats and drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step 5
    Bake for ten minutes, until lightly browned.
