    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt, optional
  • 3 c
    oats, quick or old-fashioned, uncooked
  • 1 c
    raisins

How to Make Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  4. Stir in raisins and oats and drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Bake for ten minutes, until lightly browned.
