Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt-optional
- 3 cups oats, quick cooking
- 1 cup raisins
How To Make vanishing oatmeal raisin cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 350. Beat together margarine,brown and white sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Combine in separate bowl flour,soda,cinnamon and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet. Stir in raisins and oats-mix well.

Step 2Drop by rounded tablespoons on to ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute then remove to wire rack.

Step 3TIP-greasing the cookie sheet will cause cookies to spread and bottoms to brown too quickly.
