Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/3 cups butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12 oz. packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Mox flour. baking soda & salt in medium bowl. Beat butter & sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light & fluffy. Add eggs & vanilla; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips & nuts.

Step 3Drop by rounded Tbsp about 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

Step 4Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
