This chocolate chip cookie has an intense vanilla flavor from the vanilla beans but it isn't overpowering. Espresso gives the cookie a hint of coffee flavor lingering in the undertones. Altogether, the flavors complement each other to create the perfect cookie.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons espresso powder, instant
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 - egg
- 1 - vanilla bean, split and scraped, using inside seeds
- 2 cups chocolate chips
How To Make vanilla bean java chippers

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and espresso powder; set aside.

Step 3In large bowl of stand mixer, cream sugar, brown sugar, and butter until fluffy, approximately 3 minutes.

Step 4Mix in egg and vanilla seeds.

Step 5Add in sifted flour mixture until well incorporated.

Step 6Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 7Scoop mixture into heaping tablespoons and drop onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Step 8Bake in preheated oven for 10-13 minutes.
