light brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c
butter flavored shortening
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
1 large
1 3/4 c
all purpose flour
3/4 tsp
baking soda
3/4 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c
semi-sweet mini chocloate chips

How to Make Ultimate Double Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2Combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • 3Beat egg into creamed mixture.
  • 4Combine flour, salt, and backing soda. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
  • 5Stir in chocolate chips, gently.
  • 6Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough 3 inches apart onto paper.
  • 7Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies.
  • 8Pull paper onto cooling rack or counter and allow cookies to cool completely. Pop off the paper and eat.
