Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter flavor shortening
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
How To Make ultimate chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.

Step 3Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended then beat in egg.

Step 4Combine flour, salt and baking soda.

Step 5Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended, then stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Step 6Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.

Step 7Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (they will look light and moist-do not overbake), 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.

Step 8Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet and remove to cooling rack.
