2In mixer bowl cream together granulated sugar and veg. oil Beat eggs into creamed mixture, next add the can of pumpkin.
3sift together flour,baking powder ,baking soda cinnamon and salt . add this to the pumpkin mixture . mix until all of the dry ingredients are mixed into the pumpkin mixture.
4Put the batter into a 13x9x2 inch greased
and floured pan . bake for 25 minutes . Bake 25 minutes or until a tooth pick stuck into the middle comes out clean or when touched it springs back
5Cool cake on rack . While it is cooling prepare the frosting.
6mix together Softened cream cheese , the 1/2 stick butter (softened),vanilla , 2 1/2 cups cups powder sugar (add a little at a time , If added all at one
time it makes a mess on your counter top)Mix till all in ingredients are incorporated and it is creamy and spreadable. If it needs a little more liquid to make it easilly spreadable add a little milk a teaspoon at a time .
Frost the cooled cake and serve.
