The most moist and chewy cookie you'll ever enjoy! Been fulfilling requests for these for 30 years...they go fast! I usually make a quadruple batch, as they freeze great too...if there's any left to freeze!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package 4-serving instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 package 12-ounce chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped-optional

How To Make the best chocolate chip cookies!

  • Step 1
    Mix flour and baking soda together, set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine very softened butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Step 3
    Beat eggs till fluffy, then add to butter mixture.
  • Step 4
    Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture until well blended. Stir in Chocolate Chips. Add chopped walnuts, if desired. (I always make a quadruple batch, so it helps if you have someone that can help stir it all in!) Batter will be stiff!
  • Step 5
    Preheat oven to 375 Drop by somewhat rounded teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheet Bake @ 10 mins, or until bottoms are slightly brown. Cool on cooling racks, then store covered. (*HINT* To keep cookies moist, add a piece of bread to cookie container.) These freeze very good also! YUM!!
