The most moist and chewy cookie you'll ever enjoy! Been fulfilling requests for these for 30 years...they go fast! I usually make a quadruple batch, as they freeze great too...if there's any left to freeze!

2 1/4 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 c
butter, softened
1/4 c
3/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 pkg
4-serving instant vanilla pudding
1 pkg
12-ounce chocolate chips
1 c
walnuts, chopped-optional

How to Make The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies!


  • 1Mix flour and baking soda together, set aside.
  • 2Combine very softened butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • 3Beat eggs till fluffy, then add to butter mixture.
  • 4Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture until well blended. Stir in Chocolate Chips. Add chopped walnuts, if desired. (I always make a quadruple batch, so it helps if you have someone that can help stir it all in!) Batter will be stiff!
  • 5Preheat oven to 375
    Drop by somewhat rounded teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheet
    Bake @ 10 mins, or until bottoms are slightly brown.
    Cool on cooling racks, then store covered. (*HINT* To keep cookies moist, add a piece of bread to cookie container.)
    These freeze very good also! YUM!!
