texas sized m&m cookies
(2 RATINGS)
This is actually a Chocolate Chip Recipe; but the regular cookies weren't fun enough for the big game! This recipe works great for way oversized cookies the guys especially like. I add M&Ms because they are so popular and colorful, but you could add any kind of chunk chocolate candy you like. Try White Chocolate with chopped Macadamia nuts and shredded coconut. I have received Rave reviews and there are never any left! Make 'em BIG!

Ingredients
- 1 pound butter
- 2 cups dark brown sugar (packed)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 24 ounces m&m candies
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract (mexican or madagascar bourbon work best!)
- 6 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
How To Make texas sized m&m cookies
-
Step 1Cream the butter and sugars. Add vanilla, eggs and M&Ms.
-
Step 2In a separate bowl, blend flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the egg and candy mixture. Mix well without over mixing (it makes cookies tough).
-
Step 3Make balls about 2 "in diameter and place on an ungreased light aluminum cookie sheet (I use air cushioned). Flatten each ball with the palm of your hand, to about 3/8 of an inch thick. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes (depending on how hot your oven gets). Remove cookies when the outer edges of the cookies are barely brown. Allow to cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before removing to cooling racks to cool completely. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen very large cookies; for more, either make another batch or make 'em smaller.
