Many years ago,a friend made these for me and they were especially good,I had been making them for years but hers were better!.Here's her recipe.

2 c unsalted butter,softened
1 c powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1/4 t. salt
4 c all purpose flour
1 c minced almonds


1Cream butter,add sugar,vanilla and egg. Stir in salt and flour,combine well. Add almonds. Roll into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes just until light brown. Roll in powdered sugar,cool on rack. Roll in powdered sugar and place in an airtight container.
