These cookies are very special to me because the recipe came from my friend Teresa. Teresa moved out of the area many years ago and we eventually lost contact. But I always think of her when I make these cookies.

3 c
all purpose flour
1 1/2 c
butter, do not substitute
1 1/2 c
1/2 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
almond extract
1 c
oatmeal, uncooked

How to Make Teresa's Oatmeal Sugar Cookies


  • 1Mix together flour, butter, sugar, and salt like pie crust. (It will be crumbly).
  • 2Add eggs, almond extract, and oatmeal. Mix well.
  • 3Place rounded teaspoons of dough on cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
  • 4Bake at 350 degees about 10 minutes or until brown around edges. Tastes and looks like a sugar cookie.
