These cookies are very special to me because the recipe came from my friend Teresa. Teresa moved out of the area many years ago and we eventually lost contact. But I always think of her when I make these cookies.

- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups butter, do not substitute
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 cup oatmeal, uncooked
How To Make teresa's oatmeal sugar cookies

Step 1Mix together flour, butter, sugar, and salt like pie crust. (It will be crumbly).

Step 2Add eggs, almond extract, and oatmeal. Mix well.

Step 3Place rounded teaspoons of dough on cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.

Step 4Bake at 350 degees about 10 minutes or until brown around edges. Tastes and looks like a sugar cookie.
