This is a recipe that's a must during Christmas. I make it every year, especially because it is my daughter's favorite.

Ingredients For tea-time truffles/rum balls

  • 5 c
    chocolate cake crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    chopped raisins or currants
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp
    apricot jam, warmed and sieved
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark rum
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate sprinkles

How To Make tea-time truffles/rum balls

    Chop the raisins or currants.
  • 2
    Mix the cake crumbs, raisins or currants, and cocoa powder in a large bowl.

    Warm and sieve that apricot jam.

    Add jam and rum to the cake crumbs.

    Mix to form a stiff paste.

    Form into balls.

    Immediately roll in the sprinkles.

    Set aside in the refrigerator or serve immediately.
