How to Make Tea Cookies
- Pulse
Almonds in a food processor until finely chopped - Beat
Butter at medium speed with heavy duty electric mixer until creamy Add egg beating just until yellow disappears. Gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar, beating at low speed until blended, beat 1 minute Add vanilla and almonds, and beat until blended. - Combine
Flour and baking powder, gradually add to butter mixture, beating just until blended after each addition. - Pinch
Off 1-inch pieces of dough shape into crescents Insert a clove into each cookie, if desired, place on ungreased baking sheets. - Bake
At 350 for 25 minutes, remove to wire racks to cool 30 minutes roll in remaining powdered sugar - If not using a heavy duty mixer, add 3 cups flour mixture to butter mixture, beating until smooth Knrad n remaining flour until dough is smooth and holds together.
