Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- pinch salt
- 1 dash baking powder
- 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

How To Make tea cookies

Step 1In a bowl, beat together the butter and the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 2Add vanilla and blend together flour, salt and dash of baking powder.

Step 3Add flour mix to butter mix, blend well.

Step 4Add the chopped nuts, combine well.

Step 5Roll the dough out into two balls and wrap in platic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.

Step 6Flatten dough out and cut into 15-16 equal sized pieces.

Step 7Shape into marble sized balls and place on ungreased cookiesheets.

Step 8Bake at 375-400 degrees for 10-12 minutes each sheet until firm but NOT brown.

Step 9While still warm roll into powdered sugar, then let cool and roll in sugar again.
