How To Make tea cake cookies

• Step 1
  Cream sugar and butter together. Add egg and vanilla flavoring.
• Step 2
  Sift flour and baking soda together and add to sugar mixture. Stir until well mixed.
• Step 3
  Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough out in to 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Pat the cookie down slightly with hand.
• Step 4
  Bake 10 to 12 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK. Let cool and remove from cookie sheet.
