  • 3 c
    plain flour
  • 1 c
  • 2 stick
  • 1 large
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla flavoring

How to Make Tea Cake Cookies


  1. Cream sugar and butter together.
    Add egg and vanilla flavoring.
  2. Sift flour and baking soda together and add to sugar mixture.
    Stir until well mixed.
  3. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
    Roll dough out in to 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart.
    Pat the cookie down slightly with hand.
  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
    Let cool and remove from cookie sheet.
