These are a very delicate cookie and very light and delicious! Be careful taking them off the sheet as they will fall apart if you are rough with them. These are one of the best cookies I have ever made. I didnt know if I would like the tahini but it is wonderful and I will surely make this one a keeper! I did make the recipe up myself after studying a bit about tahini cookies online. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound soft butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 - eggs

How To Make tahini cookies

  • Step 1
combine butter, tahini, eggs, brown sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl and beat on medium speed until creamy and blended.
  • Step 2
Add dry ingredients which have been stirred together or sifted together and blend all together until dough is mixed well.
  • Step 3
chill dough until cold either in freezer or frig depending on how quickly you want to make them.
  • Step 4
preheat oven to 350 degrees when ready to bake them
  • Step 5
butter cookie sheets and drop by hand or spoon in whatever size balls you want them. They do not spread much so you can place them about an inch or so apart. Sprinkle with sugar and bake them about 10-12 minutes until bottoms are turning golden brown.
  • Step 6
Remove carefully from sheet and place on a wire rack to cool. (If you can wait that long before eating them!)
