My friend Debbie makes these at Christmas. Not only do they melt in your mouth, but they are beautiful too. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup sugar
1 - egg (well beaten)
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour (sifted)
1 teaspoon baking powder
- candied cherries

How To Make swedish spritz cookies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400

Step 2

Cream butter and sugar.
Step 3

add egg that has been well beaten and vanilla.
Step 4

sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
Step 5

pack dough into a cookie press (using flower shape) and press onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 6

add a half of a candied cherry to center of each cookie PRIOR to baking. Bake 8-10 minutes.
