I make these every Christmas. This recipe was very dry this year so I added a whole egg instead of just the yolk and they turned out great.

Ingredients

1 cup butter flavor shortening
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 - egg
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour

How To Make swedish cinnamon cookies

Step 1

Mix all ingredients well. Form into small balls and roll in white sugar. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in additional sugar.

Step 2

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
