This recipe is over 175 years old. It came across the prairie in a covered wagon with my lineages. My grandmother shared it around 1970 with her grandchildren.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soa
- 3 to 3½ cups flour
- 1 cup lard (i use real butter)
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
How To Make sugar cookies, ummmm!

Step 1Mix all ingredients together. But only mix in enough flour to allow you to roll it out. The less flour the better the cookies.

Step 2Roll out and cut out your cookies to place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 3Bake at 350° for about ten minutes. Let cool a few minutes before removing from the cookie sheet. I do not know how many the recipe makes. They don't last that long!
