Ingredients

3/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

How To Make sugar cookies

Step 1

Mix together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour baking powder and salt.

Step 2

Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill 1 hour.
Step 3

Roll out on a floured board to approx. 1/8 in.. Cut into shapes and bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 min. Cool and frost if desired.
