Ingredients

6 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
2 - beaten eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream

How To Make sugar cookies

Step 1

Mix flour, soda, and salt

Step 2

Mix sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Beat, then add sour cream
Step 3

Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients
Step 4

Roll dough out to 1/3 inch and cut into shapes
Step 5

Bake 7 minutes at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet on 2nd rack from the top of the oven
Step 6

Frost with 2 pounds powdered sugar, 2 sticks salted butter, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 tsp. vanilla. Beat 2 minutes.
