How to Make Sugar Cookies


  1. Mix flour, soda, and salt
  2. Mix sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Beat, then add sour cream
  3. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients
  4. Roll dough out to 1/3 inch and cut into shapes
  5. Bake 7 minutes at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet on 2nd rack from the top of the oven
  6. Frost with 2 pounds powdered sugar, 2 sticks salted butter, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 tsp. vanilla. Beat 2 minutes.
