  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • ·
    food coloring ( optional )

How to Make Spritz ( little Green Christmas Trees )

Step-by-Step

  1. Instructions : Stir together flour & baking powder. In large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine till softened . Add sugar & beat till fluffy . Add egg, vanilla & almond extract and beat well . Gradually add flour mixture and beat till well mixed . To ensure easy passage through the cookie press , do not chill dough .
  2. If desired tint dough with food coloring , Force dough through a cookie press onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with colored sugar if desired . Bake in 400'F oven for 7-8 minutes or till done . Remove and cool . makes about 60
