Ingredients

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 - egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- food coloring ( optional )

How To Make spritz ( little green christmas trees )

Step 1

Instructions : Stir together flour & baking powder. In large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine till softened . Add sugar & beat till fluffy . Add egg, vanilla & almond extract and beat well . Gradually add flour mixture and beat till well mixed . To ensure easy passage through the cookie press , do not chill dough .

Step 2

If desired tint dough with food coloring , Force dough through a cookie press onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with colored sugar if desired . Bake in 400'F oven for 7-8 minutes or till done . Remove and cool . makes about 60
