sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
eggs, well beaten
1 c
1 c
butter, melted
4 Tbsp
4 Tbsp
1/4 c
quick cooking oats
1/2 c
dark seedless raisins
1/2 c
coarsely chopped nuts

How to Make Spicy Oatmeal Cookies


  • 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  • 3In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  • 4Stir to blend; add sifted ingredients and beat until thoroughly mixed.
  • 5Lightly grease cookie sheets (or use non-stick cookie sheets).
  • 6Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  • 7Bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly brown.
  • 8Remove carefully and cool on wire racks.
  • 9Store in airtight containers.
