  • 3/4 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1/4 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    dark seedless raisins
  • 1/2 c
    coarsely chopped nuts

How to Make Spicy Oatmeal Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  4. Stir to blend; add sifted ingredients and beat until thoroughly mixed.
  5. Lightly grease cookie sheets (or use non-stick cookie sheets).
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly brown.
  8. Remove carefully and cool on wire racks.
  9. Store in airtight containers.
