Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 6 tsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    cloves
  • 1 tsp
    ginger
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 3 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Spicy Oatmeal Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk.
  3. Add oats raisins and nuts.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350.
