spiced cocoa cookies
'Tis the season for holiday cookie recipes! These spiced cookies have a touch of cocoa, and smell just like home to me. This makes a nice big batch, so it's okay to sneak a few before sharing them with the family :)

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups crisco shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 cups flour
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon all spice
- 3/4 cup powdered cocoa
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- - powdered sugar
How To Make spiced cocoa cookies

Step 1Cream shortening and sugar.

Step 2Add eggs (one at a time). Then add milk and vanilla.

Step 3Add dry ingredients and spices. Mix well.

Step 4Add your chocolate chips.

Step 5Form your dough into small balls, (I used a 2 tablespoon coffee scoop)and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6Bake at 350 for 14 - 16 minutes.

Step 7Remove your cookies from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before adding a sprinkling of powdered sugar!
