(1 RATING)
A favorite recipe from my Auntie Florence. How many cups of coffee did we share over a plate of these wonderful "dunkers"?

Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 3-4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (scant)
- 3/4 cup raisins or dates (soaked and chopped)
- 1 cup walnuts - finely crushed
How To Make spice biscotti
-
Step 1Beat the eggs, sugar, and oil together well.
-
Step 2Combine the flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, 1 cup at a time.
-
Step 3Drain the raisins/dates and add them, along with the walnuts, to the dough. Mix thoroughly. The dough will be sticky. Oil your hands and make 2 or 3 loaves out of the dough.
-
Step 4Bake them on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Slice the biscotti while they are warm. If you want them to be extra-crispy, place them on their sides and re-bake them for 5-10 minutes more.
