  • 2 c
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 2
    egg yolks

  • 2-1/2 c
    ground almonds
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • ·
    powdered sugar

How to Make Sour Cream Nut Rolls


  1. Put flour and butter in large bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  2. Mix sour cream and egg yolks together with a fork to blend. Add to flour mixture. Stir and knead to form ball. Roll out 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into 2 inch squares.
    Mix almonds, sugar, milk and almond extract together. Place 1/2 tsp. in center of each square.
  4. Bring up 2 opposite corners. Lay 1 corner over the other, pinching to seal.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar.
