Delicious cookies filled with nutty almond filling.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • FILLING:
  • 2-1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • powdered sugar

How To Make sour cream nut rolls

  • Step 1
    Put flour and butter in large bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  • Step 2
    Mix sour cream and egg yolks together with a fork to blend. Add to flour mixture. Stir and knead to form ball. Roll out 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into 2 inch squares.
  • Step 3
    FILLING: Mix almonds, sugar, milk and almond extract together. Place 1/2 tsp. in center of each square.
  • Step 4
    Bring up 2 opposite corners. Lay 1 corner over the other, pinching to seal.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar.
