This was found in an old cookbook a few years ago. She used oleo, I changed it to butter flavored crisco and works just the same or even better :) These cookies could be frosted with an easy homemade frosting for more sweetness.

butter flavored crisco
1 1/2 c
thick sour cream
2 3/4 c
How To Make
Cream together, crisco,sugar,and eggs. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together and mix in flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
Chill at least on hour .
Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly golden brown and very little finger print when pressed.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350*
