This was found in an old cookbook a few years ago. She used oleo, I changed it to butter flavored crisco and works just the same or even better :) These cookies could be frosted with an easy homemade frosting for more sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter flavored crisco
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    thick sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 3/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Sour Cream drops

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream together, crisco,sugar,and eggs. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together and mix in flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  2. Chill at least on hour .
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly golden brown and very little finger print when pressed.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350*
