This recipe is from my great grandma. When I was a young girl, whenever we visited my great grandparents, my grandma was always in the kitchen. There were many times she was making these wonderful soft yummy cookies. Since this is a very old recipe, I wrote it mainly like she had it written down.

How to Make Sour Cream Cookies

  1. Cream sugar and butter or lard together. Add egg and beat well. Add sour cream and rest of ingredients. Mix and chill in cooler. Roll out dough ( I roll out to about 1/4 inch) and cut. Sprinkle tops with sugar.
  2. Bake: 350F degrees.
Time: Until there is no imprint left when touched. No time was specified, and it depends on size of cookie cutters also for length of time in oven.
