Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 - eggs
- 1 & 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 & 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make sour cream cookies

Step 1Cream shortening, eggs and sugar until well blended.

Step 2Stir in sour cream and vanilla.

Step 3Add flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well.

Step 4Chill dough a few hours. Drop by tablespoon onto cookied sheet.

Step 5Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. The cookies will be just starting to turn tan. Let them cool a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then put them on racks to finish cooling.

Step 6These keep well in a covered container. Will be a soft type cookie.
