This is a really good old fashioned tasting cookie that I hope you'll try and add it to your holiday cookie trays.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger (optional)
How To Make soft molasses cookies

Step 1Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add the well beaten eggs,molasses,and sour cream and stir the mixture until it is smooth.

Step 2Mix together the dry ingredients and add this mixture gradually to the first. Chill the dough for about an hour, then drop it by spoonfuls (I use a small ice cream scoop) on a greased baking sheet.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
