EVERY TIME I MAKE THESE COOKIES THEY VANISH IN NO TIME...NOT TOO SWEET EVEN WITH GLAZE ...PERFECT WITH A TALL GLASS OF MILK OR A STEAMING CUP OF JAVA ...I HAD LEFTOVER GLAZE SO SOME PRETZELS WENT A DIPPN :)

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temp (2 sticks)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packd
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup pancake syrup
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- 2 teaspoons bakn soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups flour
- MAPLE GLAZE
- 3 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons maple extract
- 1/8 cup milk (to achieve a thick spreadable consistancy)
- 1/2 cup pancake syrup

Step 1IN LARGE MIXING BOWL CREAM BROWN SUGAR WITH ROOM TEMP. BUTTER. ADD THE EGG, PANCAKE SYRUP N MAPLE EXTRACT. IN A SEPARATE BOWL SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SALT N BAKN SODA. MIX INTO BUTTER MIXTURE UNTIL WELL BLENDD N REFRIGERATE FOR 30 MINUTES.

Step 2PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. ON CLEAN SURFACE SPRINKLE CONFECTIONS SUGAR N REMOVE TWO CUPS OF DOUGH AT A TIME FROM FRIDGE N FLATTEN OUT N CUT TO DESIRED SHAPES. PLACE COOKIES ONTO PARCHMENT LINED COOKIE SHEETS.

Step 3BAKE 10-15 MINUTES OR UNTIL EDGES R SLIGHTLY BROWND. COOL N REMOVE FROM PAN TO THOROUGHLY COOL.

Step 4NOW FOR THE GLAZE...IN A MED SIZD BOWL MIX TOGETHER 3 CUPS OF CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, MILK N MAPLE EXTRACT n 1/2 cup of pancake syrup .. .KEEP ON STIRRING IT WILL BCOME SMOOTH (U MITE NEED TO ADD MORE MILK OR MORE CONF SUGAR TO GET RITE CONSISTANCY...ADD 1 TSP. OF MILK AT A TIME)
