soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies
I've been working on perfecting this recipe for years. I think I finally got it! These bake up chewy and soft, and don't spread out like most chocolate chip cookie recipes I've tried. I hope you enjoy and welcome the comments!

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 sticks imperial margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (can be imitation or pure)
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 325*F.

Step 2Cream together margarine, sugars and butter, add eggs and mix just until incorporated.

Step 3Add flour and baking soda to wet mixture and mix.

Step 4Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.

Step 5Roll into tablespoon sized balls and bake for 13 minutes.

Step 6Let cool for 1 minute before removing from pan. Cool on wire racks.

Step 7Makes about 32 cookies, give or take, depending on how many taste testers you have helping you.
