These are one of my favorite cookies to make at Christmas. Hope you and your family enjoy them as much as we do.

Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
1 8 ounces package chopped dates (make sure they are not sugar coated)
2 cups rice krispies
1 cup pecans (chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box confectioners' sugar

How To Make snowballs (date balls)

Step 1

Combine first three ingredients and cook for approximately 10 minutes until it comes to a boil. Take off the eye and cool slightly.

Step 2

Add all remaining ingredients except confectioner sugar. Dump onto wax paper. Roll into quarter-sized balls.
Step 3

Add confectioner sugar to a large plastic bag or bowl. Dump balls into large plastic bag or bowl. Toss until covered. Store in Christmas tins.
