Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves, toasted and finely chopped
- 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup plus 6 t. unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine pecans, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. In a separate bowl, combine butter and sugar, beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and vanilla, mixing until combined. Using a tablespoon , scoop out dough and roll into 1-inch balls.

Step 2Place on ungreased baking sheets, and bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar . Makes 5 dozen.
