  • 1 1/2 c
    pecan halves, toasted and finely chopped
  • 3 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 c
    plus 6 t. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar, sifted

How to Make SNOWBALL SPICE COOKIES

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine pecans, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. In a separate bowl, combine butter and sugar, beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and vanilla, mixing until combined. Using a tablespoon , scoop out dough and roll into 1-inch balls.
  2. Place on ungreased baking sheets, and bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar . Makes 5 dozen.
