Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves, toasted and finely chopped
  • 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup plus 6 t. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

How To Make snowball spice cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine pecans, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. In a separate bowl, combine butter and sugar, beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and vanilla, mixing until combined. Using a tablespoon , scoop out dough and roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Step 2
    Place on ungreased baking sheets, and bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar . Makes 5 dozen.
