My son Brett always loved these cookies. He submitted this recipe to the newspaper when he was in elementary school. Brett is now a college student. When you try them you will see why he loves them. I usually double this recipe, because there is never enough.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups pecans, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sugar, granulated
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- - powdered sugar
How To Make snowball cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 325.

Step 2In a large mixer bowl, combine flour, nuts, granulated sugar, butter & vanilla.

Step 3Beat at low spped, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls.

Step 5Place on ungreased cookie sheets. I prefer parchment paper on cookie sheet, for easy clean up.

Step 6Bake for 18-25 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 7Remove immediately. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm & again when cool.
