Ingredients

1 cup soft shortining
1 &1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
2 & 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 medium eggs

How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1

blend together shortening,1 & 1/2 cup sugar & egg.

Step 2

sift together flour cream of tartat,soda & salt.
Step 3

add to creamed mixture.stir till well mixed.
Step 4

roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
Step 5

ust the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon mixed in a small bowl to roll the the balls in.
Step 6

on a ungreased cookie sheet place the balls 2 inches apart or more.
Step 7

in a preheated oven bake at 400* oven for8-10 min.
Step 8

remove to cool.
