These are my Dad's favorite cookies that I use to make for him all the time.

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1Cream together first three ingredients. Sift together and stir in next four ingredients. Shape in to balls the size of walnuts. Roll balls in a mixture of 2 Tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8 to 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Don't overbake as you want them to be soft.
