I have tried many recipes. It must have 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening or it don't work!! Did you also know it is the official cookie of October because when the cookies crack, they kinda look ghostly? True story!

- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening, butter flavor
- 2 - eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch - salt
- - cinnamon, mixed with sugar
How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1Heat oven to 400°. Beat sugar, shortening, butter; add eggs; mix well. Stir in rest of ingredients. Shape dough into balls. Roll in sugar mixture to coat. Bake 10-12 min. or until center is almost set 4 doz. cookies
