Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or shortening (i prefer butter)
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2-3/4 cup sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tarter (the key ingredient i feel)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- MIXTURE
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1Mix together butter (shortening), sugar, vanilla and eggs.

Step 2Put flour, cream of tarter, baking soda & salt together and add to the above cream mixture. Let dough sit in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Step 3Mix together the cinnamon and sugar on a flat pie pan or quiche dish. Take cookie dough from refrigerator and make into teaspoon size balls. Roll the balls in the cinnamon & sugar mixture and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
