Ingredients For snickerdoodles

3 cunbleached white flour

2 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspground cinnamon

1 3/4 cgranulated sugar

1 cunsalted butter, softened

How To Make snickerdoodles

1In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt

2Place sugar and butter in mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time and vanilla (scraping sides of bowl as needed). Reduce speed to stir and mix flour mixture, in 3 additions. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour until firm. Preheat oven to 375

3Form balls of dough about the size of a walnut. Roll in cinnamon sugar to coat (topping). Place 2 1/2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake in the middle of preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until puffed and slightly cracked. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely
