  Directions preheat oven to 375 degrees F. lightly grease or line with parchment paper 2 baking sheets. Beat together the butter and sugar until smooth.annd egg beating until smooth. add vanilla,baking powder and salt, then add the flour. with a rolling pin roll out the mixture on a lightly floured surface. about 1/4 in in thickness cut with cookie cutters or biscuit cutters and place on baking sheet.about 1/2 apart. sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar mixture lightly.

  Bake 8 to 10 minutes for soft cookies 8 minutes for crunchier cookies 10 minutes

  bake 8 to 10 minutes for soft cookies 8 minutes for crunchier cookies 10 minutes remove from oven and let cool on the pan until the are firm enough to remove. about 10 minutes If you use unsalted butter increase the salt to 1/2 tsp. Yield 3 doz. cookies.
