Grandma W named 'Slices' cookies that are similar to biscotti, in that you cook the first time, then slice and cook again. This is her hazelnut version.

2/3 chazelnuts

1 2/3 cflour

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

2 lgeggs

2 tspbrandy

1 tspvanilla

3/4 csugar
How To Make slices, brandied hazelnuts, grandma w

1Boil water and soda, add nuts and boil 3-5 min. or until water turns black and skins can be peeled off. Put in colander and run cold water over until cool enough to remove the skins. Pat dry then toast about 5 min. Chop when cool. Combine with remaining ingredients, bake at 300 degrees 35 min. Cool and slice then bake 10-15 min more
