I got this recipe from a Borden Eagle Brand flyer from the 40's. It was in some things I got from my grandmother. These are amazing cookies if you like soft and chewy and almost like candy! I made them often when my kids were growing up.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • ADD ONE OR TWO OF THE FOLLOWING.

  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 2 c
    raisins
  • 3 c
    shredded coconut
  • 2 c
    bran or corn flakes
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 2 c
    chopped dates

How to Make Six Way Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix milk and peanut until well blended. Add one (I always did 2) of the other ingredients.
  2. Drop by spoonfuls on the cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until brown.
  3. Remove from cookie sheet immediately. Cool and eat.
  4. I usually ended up using the chocolate chips and corn flakes. I would be willing to try more ingredients but just using less of each. These really are good.
