The most amazing cookie ever! These cookies are loaded with spices, nuts, corn flakes and oats and a bit of coconut, too, making for an unexpectedly delicious treat with a treasure in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1-1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c
    crushed corn flakes
  • 3 c
    oats, uncooked, rolled
  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1-1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp
    cloves, ground
  • 1/2 c
    flaked coconut
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped toasted walnuts or pecans

How to Make Sierra Nuggets Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and both sugars and beat in milk, vanilla and eggs.
    Stir in corn flakes and oatmeal.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients and gradually add to cookie mixture.
    Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. On baking sheet, drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet to let cool on baking racks.
