How to Make Shortbread Sugar Cookies
- Mix softened butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Add other ingredients and mix until well blended. Refrigerate dough until chilled. Roll out dough and use cookie cut-out shapes. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet...(It's necessary b/c these cookies can be fragile when trying to lift off cookie sheet w/o parchment paper.)Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 to 15 min.
- These cookies are really good with a glaze of powdered sugar, a little butter, lemon or lime juice and hot water. I like to put the glaze on fresh out of the oven. (These cookies freeze really well.)
